Course aims:
This module is designed to familiarise persons with the OLE construction environment and provides a basic knowledge and understanding of the requirements when accessing and working within an OLE construction site safely and effectively. The course covers the requirements as stipulated in OLEC1 Network Rail Standard NR/L2/CTM/028
Objectives:
- Upon successful completion of the training the delegate will be able to:
Explain the limits of their personal authority - Give a brief description of the main component parts of the OLE infrastructure
- Describe the main hazards and risks associated with OLE construction sites and activities
- Follow the safe access procedure
- Comply with the health and safety regulations
- Complete relevant records accurately and pass them onto the appropriate person
- Follow recording and reporting procedures
Other information:
Successful completion of the OLEC 1 module is mandatory for anyone who is required to access and work within an OLE construction site.
Following successful completion of the course Infrasafe Training will register your certification on Sentinel
There is no further training requirement once the OLEC 1 competence is attained
